Jian Meng
I’m a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Florida, where I collaborate with Dr. Edith Kaan in the Brain Language and Bilingualism (BLAB) Lab.
Before joining UF Linguistics, I earned my master’s degree in ISHD (Interdisciplinary Studies in Human Development) at the University of Pennsylvania and my bachelor’s degree in English at Zhejiang International Studies University. My research uses EEG, behavioral experiments, and computational methods to investigate syntactic processing. Currently, I am working on my dissertation, which examines how media consumption affects ambiguity resolution across different text-presentation formats.
